Braves Report

          Max Fried was absurd.

He needed “only” 90 pitches to go seven innings with nine strikeouts one hit, and not a walk in Atlanta’s 4-2 win over Washington in front of less than 29,000 at SunTrust Park.

Atlanta got two in the first and added one in the third and eighth for a 4-0 lead before the Nats got to Mark Melancon for two in the ninth, stranding a runner on second.

Ronald Acuna and Ozzie Albies and Freddie Freeman teamed to go 5 for 12 from the top three spots, with Acuna and Albies scoring twice each, Acuna with a homer in the fifth.

Steven Strasburg went six innings, giving up three runs on four hits, with seven strikeouts and four walks.
