A full weekend gives you plenty to catch up on.

There are the GHSA semifinals, and scores, and Central Georgia recaps, from Friday and Saturday. Upson-Lee and Baldwin gave fans at Fort Valley State two phenomenal games.

There was another cruise for Mercer’s women in the Southern Conference tournament, plus the only local Conference Tournament Central for tournaments with area/state colleges.

And Friday’s Central Georgia Scoreboard, and daily news ‘n notes.

Baldwin boys basketball coach Buck Harris talked about the Braves great performance in a semifinal loss to last year’s state 4A runner-up, and a good future. Video.

Saturday’s menu included a look at that day’s Central Georgia semifinal matchups, and the scoreboard – reminder that the scoreboard holds all the action for the week - and news ‘n notes, what with college and pro sports and updates.

Sunday? Well, it wasn’t a day of rest.

The Sports Report featured follow-ups on Warner Robins, Upson-Lee, and Baldwin’s games at Fort Valley, the full GHSA championship schedule and locale information, and a scoreboard. The daily news ‘n notes had the day off.

Monday: the Daily Scoreboard, the schedule for the week, an updated conference tournament central, and whatever else may crop up.

But there was more local and locally-relevant content in The Sports Report, and covering Central Georgia rather than Metro Bibb, than in any other area media.

So spread the word that there are words about Central Georgia sports, and you can actually find them on the website for more than two hours.

Alas, nothing here on Guatemalan soccer injuries, the promise of a third-string catcher playing catch in Florida, MAAC tournament action, West Coast NHL play, nor still featuring or highlight something from before the fall leaves turned.

But even GISA’s Final Four at Mercer didn’t get a word in some places, but did here.
