Ex-Westside standout Dolphus a work in progress at Tech, making progress

          Stephen Dolphus has been slow to show his skills at Georgia Tech, but that's starting to change for the former Seminole.

 

Mayhem keep on rolling with win over Huntsville

          Huntsville scored first, and that was about it as Macon pulled ahead and maintained the lead for a 6-4 in in their SPHL playoff opener.

          Huntsville put some pressure on in the third period, but the visitors held on, Charlie Finn stopping 29 shots.

College Baseball: Georgia State nips Mercer

        After a nice winning streak against in-state teams, Mercer lost to one for the second straight time, Georgia State edging the Bears 4-2.

          Mercer went only 2-for-11 with runners in scoring position.

College Baseball: Georgia Tech powers past Kennesaw State

          Kyle McCann belted two homers, including a grand slam, to lead Georgia Tech to a 17-7 win over visiting Kennesaw State.

          McCann's grand slam was his third of the year.

 

College Softball: Mercer takes road non-conference win

          Jill McElderry threw the complete-game shutout as Mercer topped Alabama State 7-0 in a non-conference road game.

          The Bears got more than enough with 2 in the first and second innings.

 

 

MLB: Flaherty homer the difference in Braves’ win

          Ryan Flaherty belted a 3-run homer to help Atlanta pull past visiting Philadelphia.

          The homer gave some breathing room to starter Brandon McCarthy, who gave up only a run and five hits in 5.1 innings.
