College Baseball: Walk-off homer by Yeager gives Mercer split

          RJ Yeager wasted no time in the bottom of the ninth, belting a walk-off homer to give Mercer a 3-2 win over Furman in the second game, Furman taking a 7-6 win in Sunday's opener.

 

College Baseball: Georgia Tech's O goes off in romp over Florida State

          The Yellow Jackets matched a season high in runs with their 16-3 win over No. 6 - for now - Florida State to take the series.

          Tech is up to third place in the Coastal Division.

 

College Softball: Mercer answers shutout with shutout in split

          Mercer stayed in a tie in the Southern Conference lead with UNCG after the teams split, UNGC winning 7-0 and Mercer winning 3-0.

 

College Softball: Georgia College splits on the road

          The Bobcats had a nine-game winning streak stopped, but rebounded quickly in a doubleheader at Lander, Georgia College losing 6-3 and winning 10-3.

 

College Golf: Mercer's Schanen tied for lead, Bears in middle of the pack

          Payton Schanen shot even par and shares the individual lead after a round at the second annual Brickyard Collegiate.

          She is joined by Vanderbilt's Louise Yu and Kennesaw State's Madison Caldwell,

          Mercer is in seventh with a 310, 22 strokes behind leader Vanderbilt and two behind sixth-place Marshall.

 

 

MLB: Braves take series over Rockies on Newcomb gem

          Sean Newcomb whiffed nine with no walks in six shutout innings to lead Atlanta to a 4-0 win at Colorado.

          He got offensive help from three homers and relief aid from Shane Carle, Sam Freeman, and Arodys Vizcaino.
