A what? A complete game? From the Braves? Folty did it

Stephen Strasburg on the mound for a two-hit complete-game shutout is shocker, but he had nothing to do it.

          Mike Foltynewicz did.

Foltzynewicz gave Atlanta an 11-strikeout night and a complete game in Atlanta's 4-0 win over Atlanta.

He needed only 105 pitches, and was in the upper 90s at the end of Atlanta's first complete game of the season.

Things were a little closer for The Freeze.

Duke and Troy got their game in, eventually, and that wasn't good for Duke, a 6-0 loser to the Trojans in a game that ended just before midnight.

That pushes the Georgia-Campbell game to noon on Saturday, with games to follow at 4 p.m. and 6 p.m.

No surprise, but Smoltzie qualifies for U.S. Senior Open

Legendary Atlanta pitcher John Smoltz qualified Thursday for the U.S. Senior Open after winning a three-man playoff in a qualifier at the Planterra Ridge Golf Club in Peachtree City.
