Sunday's college roundup: Georgia delayed again, rolls again; WCWS final set

No matter how much the schedule keeps getting disrupted, Georgia is ready.
The Bulldogs had to wait another day, again, for their second game in the NCAA Regional, and took care of business again with an 11-7 win over Troy on Sunday.
The game was set for Saturday night, but weather and a long 16-8 Duke win over Campbell changed things.
Troy and Duke started at 6 p.m. Sunday in an elimination game, Duke thankful to be playing after trailing 8-1 and then scoring 11 runs in the ninth inning to send Campbell home.
Georgia plays the winner at 1 p.m. Monday.
Around the nation: Florida State was a host and national seed, and didn’t last long, having been eliminated Saturday 3-2 by Mississippi State, which won the regional.
Host Texas beat Texas A&M 8-3 Saturday. A&M was eliminated Sunday by Indiana, which then lost to Texas in the finale.
North Carolina beat Houston twice in sweeping through its regional, topping the Cougars 19-11 Sunday to advance.
Clemson stayed alive Sunday with a 9-8 win over St. John’s after losing 4-3 Saturday to Vanderbilt. But Vandy finished off the Tigers 19-6 to win the regional.
Washington went across the country and won four straight to win the Conway regional over UConn, host Coastal Carolina going 1-2.
Oregon State topped LSU twice, in a big way, 14-1 on Saturday and then 12-0 on Sunday in the final.
Stetson’s Logan Gilbert whiffed 14 in the Hatters’ 10-3 win Saturday over Oklahoma State, and the Hatters did it again over OSU, 13-1 on Sunday, to make its first Super Regional.
Arkansas nipped Dallas Baptist 4-3 to take the regional in Fayetteville
Host East Carolina was knocked out by UNC Wilmington after South Carolina beat the Pirates Saturday night.
Texas Tech cruised through its regional, beating Louisville 11-6 Sunday, following up on a 10-4 win Saturday. Veterans’ Gabe Holt went 2-for-5 with three runs in the finale.
The Red Raiders will play the winner of the Athens Regional.
Minnesota got past UCLA Saturday and Sunday to win its own regional. Auburn took care of business in ACC country with a 15-7 win over top seed N.C. State in Raleigh to advance.
Cal State Fullerton went unbeaten, beating No. 1 seed Stanford.
Monday: Florida will take on third-seed Florida Atlantic in Gainesville, South Carolina faces UNCW in Greenville, N.C.
And there’ll be action in Oxford, Miss., with the hosts playing Tennessee Tech, while Oklahoma plays Mississippi State in Tallahassee.
Florida State advances to WCWS final
Florida State has been a softball power, but the Seminoles finally made their first Women’s College World Series.
They’ll get Washington, which dumped defending champ Oklahoma 3-0 Sunday.
FSU beat UCLA twice on Sunday, a day after ending Georgia’s season with a 7-2 win in an elimination game.
