Bacon win completion of one game, and win the shortened game

Macon got the game-winner in the seventh for a 3-2 win over Florence in the completion of a game stopped by rain a few weeks ago.

Then they got the walk-off 1-0 win in the regularly-scheduled game, albeit shortened to seven innings.

Alex Canty walked and Andres Perez singled, Connor Corbitt pinch-running for Perez.

A groundout and intentional walk followed, and Cal Gentry (Perry/Georgia College) brought in the winning run with a grounder that was booted.

Riley King and Andres Perez had two hits each for Macon.

Crotty opened the Macon seventh in the first game with a double and stole third, scoring on Keaton Weisz’s groundout to second.

Holden Nix got Florence out 1-2-3 in the eighth and ninth.

Brandon Michie (Mercer) had two hits for Macon.

James Williams had a nice start, going six innings and giving up two runs on seven hits and three walks with two strikeouts.
