          More than 50,000 were on hand at Mercedes-Benz for a roof-opening and a Falcons practice.

Braves Report

          Finally the Braves got some O to go with some decent – although much more than decent, in this case – pitching.

          Sean Newcomb had a perfect game through five innings and was a strike away from a no-hitter in Atlanta’s 4-1 win over Los Angeles to avoid a sweep.

          Not long after the game, he was apologizing after offensive social media posts made when he was 18 surfaced.
