          Which is good news for the former trade bait.

 

Mayhem add a pair of forwards

          Forwards Mike Chemello and Cody Brown are the latest players to join the Macon Mayhem.

          Chemello, 26, played in Germany last season and had 16 goals and 10 assists in 25 games. He is a grad of Florida Gulf Coast, an American Collegiate Hockey Association team.

          Brown is a rookie and just finished his college career at the University of Western Ontario, where he had 14 goals and 10 assists in 35 games

 

.Dedrick Mills pledges comeback after Tech departure

          Dedrick Mills went to Georgia Tech with hype, and performed, then had to leave under a cloud. He intends to still live up to that hype.

Former Mercer player and assistant now at Pittsburgh

          Ty Megahee played baseball at Mercer, and coached at Mercer, Monmouth, Auburn, Mercer, and Western Kentucky.

          He’ll have to adjust his wardrobe a bit for his newest job, assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Pittsburgh.

          Megahee leaves Western Kentucky after three seasons for the Panthers, who went 29-26 overall and 11-19 in the ACC last year. They’re looking for their first trip to the NCAA Tournament since 1995.

This Week’s Signings

          Former Howard girls basketball standout Erica Moore has advanced to the next level, and not too far from home, signing with Kennesaw State.

          Moore played at Independence (Missouri) Community College for two seasons, earning All-Kansas Junior College CC first-team honors and second-team all region.

          She was a 41.6-percent shooter, 40.6 on 3s, and added 3.4 rebounds and 2.1 assists to go with 10.4 points over 64 career games.

          KSU went 7-19 last year, 3-11 in the Atlantic Sun. The Owls are looking for their second winning season in a decade.
