Falcons hold off Giants in odd game

New York will get hammered by media for several oddities in the Giants’ 23-20 loss at Atlanta, a game in which the Falcons led all the way but watched the Giants score twice in the final five minutes.

But New York blew a chance to score with more than five seconds left with some interesting decisions by QB Eli Manning. Atlanta got what it thought was a solid cushion on new kicker Giorgio Tavecchio’s 56-yard field goal – also an iffy decision – with 1:55 left.
