Tyler Fromm joins Travon Walker in All-American Bowl

Tyler Fromm’s senior season hasn’t gone anything like he planned and dreamed. He’s been injured and hasn’t played.

But he still got an invitation to the All-American Bowl, and was presented his jersey in a ceremony Friday afternoon at the high school. He is the third Demon to play in the game.

Older brother Jake played in the 2017 game, which this year is Jan. 5, 2019 in San Antonio on NBC.

Upson-Lee’s Travon Walker got his jersey on Thursday in a ceremony at the school.

The pair joins Dominick Blalock of Cedar Grove, Harry Miller and Quentin Skinnerof Buford, Steele Chambers of Blessed Trinity, Chris Hinton of Greater Atlanta Christian, Tyron Hopper of Roswell, and Kyle Hamilton of Marist on the East roster.

Tyler Fromm is an Auburn commit who will enroll in January.

Upson-Lee’s Walker keeping options open

Travon Walker committed to Georgia in late July – announcing the decision by way of a commitment video that included former Upson-Lee basketball teammate Tye Fagan - but said Thursday he isn’t 100 percent locked in.

In fact, he’s visiting Florida this weekend, and is considering South Carolina and Clemson as well.

“I still love Georgia, but I just want to look at everything,” he said in a story on www.usatodayhss.com that was initially about the jersey presentation. “I’ll visit there in December. Right now, I’m trying to win this state title. I want to do that and then play in the All-American Bowl and have fun.”

Walker and Upson-Lee are in the GHSA Class 4A playoffs, and with a win Friday night will clinch the Knights’ first home playoff game since 1993.
