Position change official – for now – for Oliver
He had worked out at the position as well as quarterback and returner, but now, Tobias Oliver will apparently be listed as a wide receiver. But the Northside alum is likely to get behind center again this season.
How do state schools do with clothing deals?

Baseball brothers, broadcaster, soccer standout to join Mercer hall
Mark and Michael Mimbs, Kacie Hudson, and Rick Cameron are the members of the Class of 2019 for the Mercer Athletics Hall of Fame.
The four were voted in by members of the hall, and will be enshrined during a reception and dinner on Nov.8 as part of homecoming week activities.

Taylor County’s Watson doin’ some work
The Vikings’ former quarterback has found a comfort zone after a freshman year in the nervous zone at Troy. He filled in against Missouri and may get a start next week against South Alabama.
Northside’s Davis has a new employer
Robert Davis has changed uniforms.
The former Northside and Georgia State standout was signed earlier this week to the Philadelphia practice squad.
Washington waived him on Oct. 1. A knee injury sidelined him for the 2018 season, and he was active for three games this season

Georgia College’s Mancilla wins amateur tournament
Austin Mancilla, a senior at Georgia College, won the 2019 Atlanta Amateur Match Play Championship at Rivermont Golf Club.
Mancilla was seeded 16th, and beat Division I players from Kennesaw State and Furman before edging Valdosta State’s Tevis Upton in the quarters and then Georgia State’s Connor McKinnon in the semifinals.
He topped Oglethorpe’s Harrison Mink in the final.
