Veterans, West Laurens off to good start in GHSA state wrestling
As expected, Veterans and West Laurens ended the first day of the GHSA traditional state wrestling meet in contention.
West Laurens is on top in 4A and Veterans in the top 5 in 4A. Nearly 30 wrestlers won their opening match.

John Milledge duo signs
A pair of John Milledge football players have decided where they’re continuing their careers.
Quarterback Brandon Bellflower is the latest Central Georgian heading to LaGrange, and defensive lineman Willie Scott is bound for Livingstone, a Division II school in Salisbury, N.C.
Bellflower completed 100 of 177 passes for 1,498 yards and two touchdowns for the GISA Class AAA runner-up in 2018.
