Braves Report

          A scoreless first inning turned Atlanta’s way after that as the Braves scored 13 runs in the next three innings en route to a 15-7 win over Philadelphia.

          Adam Duvall, called up earlier in the day, went 3 for 5 with a homer in his season debut. Ozzie Albies added a grand slam, and there were homers from Ronald Acuna and Ender Inciarte.

          Acuna and Inciarte drove in three runs on two hits, Josh Donaldson and Duvall two on three. Pitcher Max Fried had two hits and two runs.

          Fried went 5.1 innings, with six strikeouts and three walks, and was followed by Jerry Blevins, Chad Sobotka, and Jeremy Walker.

Macon slips past Lexington County

          A four-run seventh put Macon on top for good en route to a 7-5 win over Lexington County at Luther Williams Field.

          The Bacon put together three hits with an error for four runs in the seventh, run-scoring hits from Jared Miller and Daniel Harris.

          Jared Miller led Macon with three hits, while Daniel Harris had two hits and three RBI. Colton Yeager also had two hits.

          Logan Carter, Macon’s second pitcher, got his first win, following starter Walker Barlow. Chris Rolick (Georgia College) got his sixth save as four Macon pitchers struck out 10 with two walks.

          Macon is at Gastonia and Savannah, and then hosts Savannah on Wednesday, with the final regular-season home game on Aug. 2 against Savannah.
