A four-run seventh pulled the White Sox close, but Atlanta answered with a pair of two-run innings for a 10-7 win before nearly 39,100 at SunTrust.
Ozzie Albies went 4 for 5 with two runs, while Freddie Freeman, Matt Joyce, and Tyler Flowers added two hits each. Flowers drove in three runs with his 10th homer, and Freeman added two RBI.
Max Fried improved to 15-4 with a six-inning, 11-strikeout night, giving up four runs and four hits, only one walk. Mark Melancon, Atlanta’s fifth pitcher, got his seventh save.
