Braves Report

          At least 40,000 – announced - were interested in a non-football game in the state, and Atlanta gave those on hand some joy with an 8-1 win over San Francisco.

          Max Fried went 5.1 innings, with no walks, two strikeouts, and five hits. Four pitchers followed, Atlanta having taken a 6-0 lead before the end of Fried’s day.

          Adeiny Hechavarria had two of Atlanta’s five hits and two RBI, the latter courtesy of a two-run homer in the fifth.
