Colts hold on to nip Falcons
They talk about chopping, but the Falcons spent Sunday digging.
Digging themselves into a hole with an absurd amount of penalties.
Atlanta racked up 16 flags for 128 yards in losses, helping to end a 17-point rally in a 27-24 loss at Indianapolis, which is now 15-2 all-time against the Falcons.
They trailed 20-3 at halftime.

Mercer’s Lamb to speak at Macon TD Club
Mercer head coach Bobby Lamb is Monday’s featured speaker at the Macon Touchdown Club.
The club meets at the Methodist Home for Children and Youth, in the Rumford Center, at 304 Pierce Ave. It starts at 6:30 p.m. with dinner and the program to begin around 7. There is a one-time special-guest fee of $20, $10 below the regular non-member rate.
Rutland and Covenant are the featured high schools.
Lamb is in his seventh season at Mercer, hired to be the program’s first head coach since reinstating football.
Lamb graduated from Commerce, where he played under his dad Ray. He went to spend the next two-plus decades at Furman, first as an all-conference player, then a student assistant, assistant, and head coach.
From 1982-2010, he was a Paladin, and participated in the postseason 12 times as a coach and three times as a player. Furman was the national runner-up in 1995 – when Lamb was the Southern Conference player of the year – and 2001, winning the national title in 1988.
Mercer is 2-2 this season and off a 45-10 loss to Lamb’s alma mater. He is 39-33 at Mercer and 106-73 overall.
Former Middle Tennessee head coach and Georgia Tech assistant Andy McCollum is next week’s speaker.

Final round again gets Henley
For the second straight tournament, Russell Henley was rolling along pretty good for three rounds.
Then came Sunday at the Sanderson Farms Championship in Jackson, Miss.
Henley shot par on the front nine, but things started going haywire early on the back nine with bogeys on 11 and 12. Two holes after getting one shot back with a birdie, Henley double-bogeyed 16.
He ended up 3 over for the round, dropping him to 4 under for the tournament, in which he finished tied for 54th.
Six pars topped four bogeys in the first round and four overcome two in the second round, Henley with a pair of 70s for a 4-under 140. He cut the bogeys to one against four birdies on Saturday for a 1-under 69, and went into Sunday nine strokes back, tied for 25th.
Henley finished with 10 bogeys against 16 birdies.
Last week, Henley was in contention after three rounds of the Military Tribute at The Greenbrier in West Virginia, shooting 8-under.
Henley had a rougher final round with a 3-over 73 to finish tied for 57th. A triple-bogey on No. 6 followed a bogey on No. 5 to ruin Henley’s round last Sunday, a round with one two birdies and another bogey. Henley was bogey free on Friday, and countered two Thursday bogeys with a double eagle.
In the first two tournaments of the season, he has a pair of 4-under finishes, with six under-par rounds.
Next up on the PGA schedule is the Safeway Open in Napa, Calif., followed by the Shriners Hospital for Children Open in Las Vegas.
