Hawks’ Young pays major tributes before, in game
Trae Young was the favorite player of Gianna Bryant, and the Hawks’ guard had grown closer to Kobe Bryant. Sunday, Young was fairly Kobe-like – starting the game with Bryant’s No. 8 – as Atlanta steamrolled Washington.
Young put up 45 points on less than 25 floor tries – which hadn’t been done since 2006, by Kobe Bryant - and had 14 assists.
