Class 5A

No. 10 Jones County (7-3/7-0) 21, Dutchtown (6-4/5-2) 13

          The Greyhounds win the Region 4 title outright, and are at home next week against Wayne County.

No. 2 Warner Robins (8-1/3-0) 49, Veterans (4-6/0-4) 21

          The Demons took the Region 1 title outright, and host Union Grove.

Class 4A

Perry (6-4/6-0) 23, No. 9 Baldwin (4-1/4-1) 20

          A second-down 27-yard field goal by Caden Camp with five seconds left gave Perry its first region title since 1959.  The field goal call was debatable, both teams reacting as if it had missed. Both teams are at home next week, Perry against Westover and Baldwin against Thomas County Central.

Howard (3-4/1-3) 53, Spalding (1-9/1-5) 30

West Laurens (5-4/4-2) 47, Westside (5-4/3-3) 26

          The Raiders take third place and the Seminoles fourth, and both are on the road. West Laurens visits Cairo and Westside is at Bainbridge.

Class 3A

Americus-Sumter (1-7/1-5) at Mary Persons (4-5/2-4), cancelled

Central (5-3/5-1) at No. 3 Peach County (7-1/6-0), cancelled

            Central hosts Liberty County, and Peach County welcomes Johnson-Savannah

Upson-Lee (5-5/3-4) 28, Jackson (4-5/3-4) 14

          The Knights get the fourth playoff spot in Region 2 by winning and holding Jackson – which was in fourth alone to start the game – to less than 23 points. Upson-Lee travels to Southeast Bulloch.

Class AA

Northeast (7-2/5-1) 28, Lamar County (4-6/2-4) 14

          The second-seeded Raiders led from the start, and will be at home against Toombs County.

Putnam County (9-1/6-1) 28, Butler (4-5/2-5) 20

          The War Eagles held on to keep second place, and they’ll host Early County.

Southwest (1-5/0-4) at Dodge County (5-3/4-1), cancelled

            The top seed Indians have Swainsboro coming to Eastman.

Toombs County (7-3/3-2) 62, East Laurens (3-6/0-5) 0

Washington County (6-4/4-2) 54, Jasper County/Monticello (2-8/1-5) 6

            The third-seed Golden Hawks rolled, and visit Jeff Davis, and head coach Lance Helton, a former Washington County offensive lineman.

        

Class A

GMC (6-4/3-2) 38, ACE (2-7/1-4) 13

          GMC sealed the third seed from Region 7-A Public, and travels to Region 6 runner-up Gordon Lee.

No. 6 Macon County (8-1/7-0) 19, No. 8 Chattahoochee County (8-1/6-1) 12

          The Bulldogs take the Region 5-A Public championship, and will host Social Circle.

Hancock Central (6-0/5-0) 76, Crawford County (0-10/0-5) 7

          Hancock Central cruised to finish the regular season undefeated, and will host BEST Academy.

Stratford (7-2/4-1) 35, Deerfield-Windsor (2-8/0-5) 0

          The Eagles are tied with FPD and Mount de Sales, but get the third seed. They’ll head west to Brookstone.

No. 2 Dublin (9-1/8-0) 47, Montgomery County (6-4/4-4) 7

          The Irish rolled to a win to take the Region 4-A Public championship outright, and they’ll welcome Terrell County.

FPD (6-4/4-1) 49, Strong Rock (4-6/1-4) 7

          The Vikings sealed the top seed in Region 1-A Private and gave Greg Moore his 150th career win. FPD entertains Heritage of Newnan.

Johnson County (8-2/6-2) 40, Hawkinsville (3-7/2-6) 20

Mount de Sales (6-4/4-1) 24, Tattnall (4-6/2-3) 21, Thursday

            The Cavs got the second seed, and have Pacelli coming to town.

Telfair County (5-5/3-5) 21, Dooly County (3-5/3-5) 14

Warren County (7-2/4-1) 19, Wilkinson County (2-7/2-3) 0

          The Warriors still get fourth place, and travel to Bowdon.

GISA

Frederica (6-3/2-1) 62, Trinity Christian (0-9/0-4) 7

Gatewood (9-1/2-0) 22, Brentwood (7-2/1-1) 18

          The visiting Gators went home with the Region 1-AA title.

John Milledge (8-0/3-0) 41, Westfield (6-2-1/2-1) 0

          Defending state AAA champs John Milledge rolled to the Region 4-AAA championship.
