Georgia pulls off upset
The roller coaster ride that is the Bulldogs was more up than down with the 65-55 win over No. 13 Auburn at Stegeman Coliseum.
The Bulldogs broke a four-game losing streak, and avoided blowing a lead, like they had against other good teams.
And Tech is impressive on the road
Georgia Tech was without big men Moses Wright and James Banks, but held on down the stretch to edge Wake Forest 86-79 in Winston-Salem.
Tech won consecutive conference games for the first time this season, improving to 13-13 and 7-8.
Mercer was in control at home
The Bears cracked 100 against an NCAA opponent for the first time under new head coach Greg Gary, sparked by Jeff Gary’s 32 points and a 61.1-percent night from the floor.
