          The Gryphons got all they needed in the first, outhitting the Cavs 7-3 behind Fisher Timms’ seven-strikeout performance. Chandler Mitchell had two hits, including a homer, and two RBI, Chasen Lewis adding two hits and two RBI.

Banks County 3, Monticello 1; Banks County 3, Monticello 1

          Mac Barton and Matt Cain had two hits each for Monticello in the opener, but the Canes managed only four hits in the nightcap.

Crawford County 14, Central Talbotton 4

Dodge County 15, Dublin 2

Doral Academy 4, Houston County 1

          Doral took a 3-0 lead after one, and held  the Bears scoreless, aided by four Houston County errors and despite being outhit 7-2. E.J. Lewis and Gage Harrelson had two hits each four Houston County, which gave up all unearned runs.

GMC 12, Glascock County 0

          A 10-run fourth made it a shortened game. Cayden Avant, Ryan Barsby, and Carson Knowles had three hits each, Barsby with six RBI on a single, double, and triple. Knowles scored three times and Caleb Haines had two RBI. Christian Black and Cody Beckham teamed for an efficient pitching night.

Mary Persons 10, Veterans 1

          The Bulldogs banged out 19 hits and took control with three two-run innings in the first four. Trippe Moore went 4 for 4 with three runs and three RBI, while Eric Snow, Conner Watson, Thorn Anderson, and Nate Howard adding three hits each, Watson and Howard with three RBI. Jerry Andrews added two hits. Watson struck out 10 with three walks and four hits for the win.

Northside 16, Valdosta 9

          The visitors blasted away a 4-4 tie with nine in the fifth, winning despite six errors – two more than the hosts – and thanks to eight more hits. Five Valdosta runs were unearned. The Eagles got two-hit games from Levi Walker, Jacob Catey, Dylan Franks, Tyler Wilson, Doug Sapp, and Tyler Smith. Wilson had four RBI and Catey three, while Smith scored three times, and Walker, Sapp, Dylan Herlong, and B. Smith scored twice.

Putnam County 8, Rabun County 4; Putnam County 5, Rabun County 3, 9 inn.

          The War Eagles are 6-1 overall and 3-1 in region action.

Southland 10, Fullington 0

Stratford 15, Wilkinson County 0

          Four in the first was more than enough for Stratford, which needed only seven hits, thanks to four errors and 10 walks in the three-inning game. Stetson Hatcher had two hits and three RBI, and Lawson Cole had two hits while striking out five with no walks in three innings.

Trinity Christian 7, Bulloch 4

Upson-Lee 6, Lamar County 1

          A pair of two-run innings in the middle lifted the Knights, helped by four Trojan errors and three unearned runs. Jake Willis struck out 11 with four walks in 5.1 innings, Jordan Wainwright whiffing three in 1.2 innings. Brooks Gulley had two of Upson-Lee’s five hits.

Westfield 6, FPD 5

          James Hays belted a walk-off three-run homer to give the GISA Hornets a win over their former GISA rivals.
