Signings

          Mary Persons’ Hunter Hall has signed to play golf at Covenant College in Tennessee.

          Former Central standout Nakayia Greene is heading to Florida College.

          Central Georgia Tech’s Justin Tene will add some Central Georgia men’s basketball to Oklahoma Baptist, led by former Mercer assistant Jason Eaker.

 

Honor Roll

          Former FPD standout Maggie Johnston of Samford is the recipient of the Southern Conference’s David Knight Scholarship. The communication studies/Spanish double major has a 3.79 GPA, and is VP for the school’s chapter of Lambda Phi Eta, the National Communication Association’s honor society.

          Mercer’s Jack Raines was awarded the conference’s Bob McCloskey Insurance Scholarship. The football defender started out as a walk-on and left as a captain, and has academic honors galore on his resume.

          Dorian Kithcart of Mercer is one of 14 Southern Conference football players named to the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame Hampshire Honor Society. ETSU had six players chosen, and 1,432 players from 364 schools qualified.
