GHSA makes some moves after all
The good news is – for now – that the football season remains on schedule with the GHSA.
The bad news is that there will be no previews.
GHSA executive director Robin Hines announced Thursday afternoon the cancellation of the two Fridays of football scrimmages, scheduled for Aug. 21 and Aug. 28 – while retaining a football start date of Sept. 4.
No actions were taken for softball – which officially started Thursday – and volleyball and cross country.
Competitive cheerleading has been moved to the winter and one-act play to the spring.
The remains no change to football’s practice plan.
