          Three in the third put Calhoun on top for good. Grace Hiller had two hits and three RBI and Hailey Daughtry two hits for the Trojans. Tattnall and Ringgold were tied after one and two innings, and Ringgold’s one in the third put it in the lead for good. Daughtry, Olivia Bridger, and Caroline Patterson had two hits apiece for the Trojans, Patterson and Kaci Paul with two RBI each.

          The 11-6 Trojans host senior day on Tuesday against Taylor County.

Peach State College Football

UCF 49, Georgia Tech 21

          The Yellow Jackets were hanging with the No. 14 Knights, down two touchdowns until the visitors pulled away in the fourth quarter.

          UCF  outpassed the Jackets 417-244, and Tech suffered three lost fumbles and two interceptions.

          Peach County’s Quez Jackson led Tech with nine tackles, while Washington County’s Djimon Brooks had three tackles and Northside’s Tobias Oliver one.

          The Panthers had a two-touchdown lead, had to come back to tie it, and had to settle for a field goal on their first OT possession. And the No. 19 Cajuns took advantage.

          Jones County alum Trey Bonner saw action on the offensive line.
