A three-run sixth lifted Brentwood, which trailed 2-1 after one. Cameran Francis, Sophia Boutelle, and Isabel Ahrens each had two hits for Brentwood, Boutelle adding two RBI. Carliegh Knowles had two RBI for Westfield, which was three-hit by Margo Sims.

The Gryphons improved to 3-1 in area and 6-7 overall, getting 12 aces from McKenna Prather, seven from Olivia Deese, and six from Aly Corrigan, Kaitlyn Edwards adding a solid defensive performance. ACE hosts Mount de Sales and Mary Persons on Wednesday and Lamar County on Thursday.
