Signings

          Georgia softball is getting another Central Georgian with the signing Wednesday of Jones County pitcher Destin Howard, who helped the Greyhounds to the GHSA 5A state title in 2020, and struck out more than 200 batters as a senior.

          John Milledge basketball standout Keith Robbins, who has played at GMC and St. Francis, signed with Belmont, while Avery Barton signed with Mercer for softball.

          Three Westfield athletes have signed: Marena Knowles to Clemson for softball, Damon Sanders to Andrew College for baseball, and Grey Brannen to Northwest Florida State for baseball.

          Three Houston County athletes have signed college letters of intent.

          Gage Harrelson, one of the top players in the state, followed up on his longtime commitment and signed with Texas Tech, former home to Veterans alum Gabe Holt. Kaden Galason signed for Belmont baseball.

          Tattnall had three signings on Wednesday: Benjamin Stubbs to Flagler for baseball, Hailey Daughtry and Kaitlyn Hallman to GMC for softball, and Kaci Paul to LaGrange for softball.

          Howard’s Andrew Garnett and Lee Martin signed to play baseball at Gordon State.

          Washington County’s Ashley Gray, younger sister of Allisha and A.J., signed with Alabama State for basketball.
