Henley shares lead in darkness-shortened Houston first round
The first round isn’t anywhere near over, but Russell Henley is in a tie for first at the Hewlett Packard Enterprise Houston Open for at least a while.
Henley shot a 5-under 65 on Thursday and is in first with Talor Gooch, Marc Leishman, and Luke List.
Rain delayed the start for nearly three hours almost an inch falling on the course. None of the afternoon starters got done, and about half of the 132-player field has yet to finish the first round.
Henley, who won the tournament in 2017, had six birdies and one bogey.
