ACE 21, Twiggs County 0

          The suspense was over before the 16-run bottom of the first was in the 2.5-inning game. Zane Johnson had three hits, three runs and two RBI for ACE, while Lem Thompson and Gavin West drove in two runs each on three hits apiece.

Crawford County 15, Lamar County 9

          The Eagles put up 10 runs in the second to take control. Brennan Hudson and Levi Hammock had three hits and three runs each for the Eagles, while Trace Hodges drove in four on two hits. Hudson had three RBI and a homer. Griffin Parker and Blake Bishop teamed for 12 strikeouts and four walks. Andrew Dender had three hits and three RBI for the Trojans, Johnny Stone and Nathaniel Tidwell adding two hits each.

Houston County 11, Jones County 1

          The Bears led 6-1 after two and rolled, in five. Coleman Willis threw a one-hitter through four with six strikeouts and two walks, Gage Harrelson finishing up. Harrelson went 3 for 3 with three runs and three RBI, and Trent Ringer and Chris Le went 3 for 3 with two runs and an RBI. With Lee County’s win over Valdosta, the Bears became region champs again.

Mount de Sales 10, Jasper County/Monticello 9

          Fernando Washington stroked the game-tying grounder for a game-tying run on an error to bring in Drew Senn, and then Washington scored the game-winner on a wild pitch, all with one out, as the Cavs scored twice in the bottom of the seventh for the walk-off. Graeme Williams and Trent Maddox had two hits for the Purple Hurricanes, Maddox and Cole Hayes each with four RBI.

Perry 12, Howard 0

          The visitors clinched it with seven in the second, getting a three-hit five-inning shutout from Ben McDow, Daniel Vandivear, and Alex Scarborough. Dylan Butler had three hits and Tyler Newhouse three RBI, the Panthers getting two hits from Brayden Long and Garrett Davis.

Spalding 12, Rutland 2

Tattnall 15, Heritage 3

          Charlie Morris, Carter Fink, and Russ Miller had three hits each – all in order in the lineup – as did Gabe McGreggor for the Trojans. McGreggor drove in four runs and Miller three, Morris and Fink two each. Clay Rowland had two hits and two RBI. Benjamin Stubbs struck out 11 in the complete game.

Washington-Wilkes 16, GMC 0

          The Bulldogs were in their own way, with 13 errors leading to all unearned runs, W-W needing only four hits in the 2.5-inning game.

West Laurens 8, Bleckley County 1

          Matthew Mebane led the Raiders – who took advantage of six errors – with three hits and two RBI, Carson Estep adding a pair of RBI.
