4A-Troup County 11, Perry 0; Perry eliminated

          Troup County put Perry in a big hole early with a seven-run first, and then held the Panthers to four hits.

4A-West Laurens 17, LaGrange 7; vs. Marist or Jefferson

          West Laurens thumped the Grangers with eight in the second, and then reeled off three straight three-run innings. Carson Estep and Eli Floyd had three hits each, Floyd driving in three runs, as did Colton Scott and Matthew Mebane. Scott, Tyler Franks, and Gunnar Jeffers had two hits each.

3A-Pierce County 6, Upson-Lee 0; Pierce County 4, Upson-Lee 3; Upson-Lee eliminated

          A four-run fifth sealed it for the hosts, the Knights shut out despite only one less hit than Pierce County. Jordan Wainwright, Austin Hendricks, and Steven Marriage had two hits each for Upson-Lee. The Knights led the nightcap 3-0 after five, but Pierce County scored four times in the sixth for the lead, and then retired the Knights in order in the seventh after a leadoff single.

2A-Bleckley County 13, Putnam County 5; Wednesday, 4 p.m.

          Putnam County led 3-2 after three, but the Royals put up 11 runs in the next two innings. J.R. Fordham and Eli Mullis had three hits, Fordham with four RBI. Matthew Bland, Conner Senters, and Matt Huff had two hits each, Bland with two RBI. Jacob Grimes and Logan Merritt had two hits each for Putnam County, and Gerald Kilgore drove in two runs and had a homer.

AA- Thomasville 11, Dodge County 8; Thomasville 18, Dodge County 0; Dodge County eliminated

A Public-Schley County 8, Crawford County 2; Crawford County 9, Schley County 7; Wednesday, 5:30 p.m.

          The Eagles’ 2-0 lead after one was gone after Schley County’s six-run third, Crawford County held to four hits. Judd Puckett had two of them. Crawford County broke open a 3-3 game with six in the fourth, then watch Schley County threaten with four in the sixth. Derontae Stewart, Brennan Hudson, and Trevor West had two hits for the Eagles, Hudson and West with two RBI.

A Private-Savannah Christian 12, FPD 4; Savannah Christian 10, FPD 7; FPD eliminated

A Private-Tattnall 7, Savannah Country Day 0; Wednesday, 4 p.m.

          Bo Hatcher struck out 10 with three walks and two hits in six innings, the Trojans’ offense getting going with three in the second. Clay Rowland, Hunter Alexander, and Cooper McMullen had two hits apiece for Tattnall, Rowland with four RBI and a homer. The Trojans were up 4-0 in the top of the second when weather ended the night.
