Cole Carr fanned 8 in 6 innings in the opener, Jake Grant fanned 7 in 6 innings in the second game, the Bulldogs with 14 hits in each game. L Evans had three hits and R Cause 2 RBI in the opener, and Ian Lewis had 3 hits and Nic Arnold 4 RBI in the nightcap.

Jackson Peavy threw a 15-strikeout, complete-game shutout in the nightcap while the offense pieced together 6 hits and 5 walks. The Trojans gave up 7 in the second inning of the opener, and rallied late, but committed 5 errors and walked 11 batters. SCD returned the favor in the second game with 4 errors.

Seven starters had a hit for the Eagles in the opener as Isaac Meadows threw his third complete game this season. Drew Hammock matched it in the nightcap, fanning 11 as 8 Eagles got a hit.

Tyrese Robinson, Deago Jackson, and Josh Guyton combined for 4hits and 6 runs for Dublin in the opener, Bennett Lake adding an RBI and a run, Willie Batts with 2 RBI. Xavier Reese, Tal Duke and Bennett Lake teamed up on the mound. Reese’s sacrifice fly put Dublin up in the nightcap. Eli Hartwell drove in 3 runs, and Morgan Davis came on in relief.

Tom Schilling threw a complete-game shutout in the opener to get the Purple Hurricanes going in the big upset over a top seed. Jasper County had lost 10 of its last 11 games entering the series.
