The Bears were down 6-2 entering the bottom of the sixth, but scored 5 innings in their final two at-bats to rally but come up short. The first game ended with the tying run on third. Houston County countered only 4 hits with 5 errors, allowing for all 6 runs to be unearned. Houston County scored 3 in the sixth to take the lead in the nightcap, holding on, thanks in part to 4 Riverwood errors (and all 4 runs unearned). Ann Marie Defore and Kendall Carswell teamed for 4 of the Bears’ 6 hits.

Hailey Maloney’s 3-run double in the first put the Warhawks on top for good in the opener. Caidence Scott threw an efficient complete game. The Warhawks won despite being outhit 6-2 and committing 3 errors, and striking out 7 times.

Madison County broke open a tie game with 4 in the top of the sixth. Both teams had 4 errors, and the visitors doubled up the Panthers 8-4 in hits. Madison County kicked it around for 8 errors – and 4 unearned runs – in the nightcap, Perry taking a 13-2 hits advantage. Emersyn Preast had 3 hits, with 2-hit games from Natalie Myers, Rachel Driver, and Avery Grant. Abigail Nails fanned 8 with 2 walks in the 2-hitter.

Clinch County 4, Crawford County 3; Crawford County 11, Clinch County 2
Clinch County scored 3 in the sixth to win the opener, aided by 5 Crawford County errors, helping the 2-hit Panthers win. The Eagles got 11 strikeouts from Bailey Phillips in the complete-game win in the nightcap. She led the offense with 3 hits while Maggie Walden drove in 2 runs. Four Clinch County errors led to 9 unearned runs.

Victoria Cooper struck out 15 in the complete-game win in the opener. Skyler Searcy and Emily Hobbs each had 2 hits for the Vikings. Cooper drove in 6 runs on 2 hits, including a grand slam, in the nightcap clincher. Summer Searcy got the win, boosted by a 5-for-5 game from Molleigh Gassett in the No. 7 spot.
