Tri-City worked some quality small ball to score twice in the top of the ninth and then survive two runners in the bottom half to slip past the Bacon at Luther Williams.
The Chili Peppers combined two singles, fielder’s choice, two stolen bases, and an error for 2 runs and the lead. Macon stranded runners on first and second in the bottom half.
Macon, outhit 8-4, fell to 9-19, in last place in the West by 3 games. The Bacon are back home Saturday for two against the ZooKeepers.
