Perry has won six straight in the series since Baldwin’s 39-22 first-round playoff win in 2018. Reid gin was 18 of 27 for 322 yards and 4 touchdowns, 2 to Jackson Thompson, who caught 5 passes for 107 yards. Decorrian Daniels scored twice on the ground. Lee County 45, Warner Robins 7
The 6A power handed Warner Robins its worst loss since Houston County won 41-7 in 2023, preceded by a 38-0 loss to Rome in the 2017 state 5A championship. It was the biggest margin in a usually competitive series since the Demons’ 56-14 win in 2011.
Upson-Lee 42, Union Grove 21
The Knights went up 14-0 after one and got a late second-quarter safety for a 16-7 halftime lead. Upson-Lee won the second half 26-14, Chestin Howard’s 70-yard touchdown two minutes into the fourth quarter made it 35-14 and pretty much sealed it.

Westside 41, Howard 34 (Click here for the story)
For the second year in a row, Howard watched defeat snatched from the jaws of victory. A timeout squelched a 28-yard field goal try in the final seconds, and Westside blocked the official try, and James Neville gave the Seminoles one of their most inspirational wins in years by returning the block the distance for celebratory points. Westside came back to win 26-20 in overtime last year. The last three margins in the series: 1, 6, and 6.

Swainsboro 15, Dublin 14
Trav Bostic got Dublin going wit a 3-yard run midway through the first quarter, and Dontavious Cannon’s 69-yard sprint put the Irish up 14-0 with 6:18 left in the third quarter. But Swainsboro stunned the Shamrock Bowl crowd with two touchdowns in a little more than four fourth-quarter minutes, including a 94-yard pass play, to go ahead with in the final minute on a conversion run. It was the first 1-point margin in the 75-game series since Dublin won 7-6 in 1992. The Tigers outgained the Irish 269-264 in total offense, mainly because of a 157-17 advantage in the passing game. Cannon went for 121 yards on 15 tries, Bostic getting 75 on 9.

East Laurens at No. 15T/A-II Johnson County, Saturday, 7 p.m.

Peach County 33, Northeast 14 (click here for the story)
After a 40-21 win at Fort Valley State a year ago, Peach County handed out similar punishment to the Raiders on their home field several miles away. The Trojans took advantage of a bad punt snap and scored 3 plays later for a lead less than three minutes into the game. Caden Ivory hit Zion Hudson for a 23-yard touchdown four minutes later, and the Trojans added an Ashton Barton run a play into the second quarter for a 21-0 lead, which is where it was at halftime..
Southwest 38, Macon County 13 (Click here for the story)
The end of Chase Dupree’s football career is apparently premature. Southwest’s quarterback of two years ago sat out last year with a summer injury followed by a focus on basketball. His name wasn’t mentioned by his head coach and dad at the county media day as part of the football team. He came on in the second quarter and helped the Patriots get rolling toward their biggest margin of victory over a regular playoff-caliber team since edging ACE 52-51 in two overtimes in 2023 and since topping Macon County 31-0 in 2019, those Bulldogs going on to a 6-5 season.

The Eagles were within 10 at halftime and through three quarters, only for the Pirates to start clicking early in the fourth with a 42-yard TD pass for a 17-point lead.

FPD 31, ELCA 7
Major Simmons ran for three touchdowns as FPD rolled at home. Brady McHugh added a score and Dominic Economopoulus a 21-yard field goal. Simmons went off for 145 yards on 17 carries from the quarterback spot, while McHugh added 82 yards on 13 tries.
John Milledge 49, Bethlehem Christian 6
Weather issues only delayed the inevitable, the Trojans turning in a consistent night with 2 touchdowns in the first two quarters and 3 in the fourth. Asa Wall had four rushing touchdowns, and quarterback Lewis Cheney threw for one TD – 20 yards to Bradyn Harrison – and ran for another. Wall ran for 134 of th Trojans’ 240 yards, while Cheney completed 8 of 12 for another 166.

Loganville Christian 28, Mount de Sales 26
The Cavs led 13-12, and lost the lead four minutes into the third quarter. They scored soon after that on Zavion DeShazier’s short run late in the third to tie it. Loganville Christian scored with 8 minute left and added the conversion. DeShazier hit Bryson Harrell for a 65-yard TD pass only a few minutes later, but the conversion was stopped.

The second debut of Barney Hester at Tattnall ended up as one of his worst losses with the Trojans, and the team’s biggest margin of defeat since losing 51-0 to Trinity Christian of Sharpsburg in the first round of the GHSA playoffs in 2020.
Tiftarea 14, CFCA 7
Judson Walls, who caught a TD pass from Carter Welch for CFCA’s lone score, rushed for more than 100 yards.

Westfield 44, Brookwood 0
The backups and youngsters got early action, the Hornets leading 35-0 at halftime.
Brentwood 21, TCS 0
The defending AA champs got all they needed in the first quarter. Tristan Robinson scored on a 66-yard pass from Baylor Cobb and then on a 22-yard pick-6. Jones Sheppard’s 23-yard score inside the first two minutes of the game got the War Eagles going.
