Henley maintains at BMW

The BMW Championship’s suspense has dropped a good bit, mainly if anybody can chase down Robert MacIntrye.

The race is more for a top-5 finish, and Russell Henley is part of that competition, 10 players three shots apart after the top three.

Henley’s second straight 68 has him tied for 11th, with a 5-under 205, three back of a pair tied for fourth at 8 under.

MacIntyre is up four shots on Scottie Scheffler, who is two ahead of Ludvig Aberg, who is two ahead of that big group starting at 8 under.

It wasn’t necessarily a smooth round for Henley.

Henley was rolling along, with four birdies on the front nine. He almost erased that with three bogeys in four holes on the back nine, saving that portion of the day with a birdie on 15.

On two of the bogeys, he went from the intermediate off the tee to a rough. On the third, he two-putted a par 3.

He tees off at 12:29 p.m. on Sunday, with Corey Conners.
