Macon Touchdown Club picks a Viking, Raider, and Greyhound as players of the week

          Players from FPD, Northeast, and Jones County are the latest Macon Touchdown Club players of the week.

Back: Senior quarterback Major Simmons of FPD completed nine of 10 passes for 253 yards and four touchdowns to go with  103 yards on 12 rushes, and a touchdown, in the Vikings 42-7 win over Mount de Sales. He also had eight tackles, one for loss, from his defensive back position.

Lineman: Senior linebacker Talien Sampson of Northeast racked up a whopping 15 tackles, three for loss, with a sack and fumble recovery in the Raiders’ 20-0 win over Dublin.

Special teams: Senior wideout and defensive back J.R. Clark of Jones County returned the second half kickoff 89 yards for a key touchdown in the Greyhounds’ 46-42 victory  over Stockbridge.
