West Laurens’ Clark gets in national title game
There will be trivia questions galore about Indiana’s never-in-a-lifetime national championship win Monday night.
And a Central Georgian will be the answer for one of them: Who made the first tackle in the game?
West Laurens’ Quentin Clark, a redshirt freshman defensive lineman, was credited with a solo tackle on the opening kickoff, returned 27 yards by Marion Keelan.
Clark, a 6-1, 227-pounder, appeared in one game in 2024 and redshirted, then played in 14 games in 2025, mostly on special teams.
He was a three-star prospect at West Laurens, and a top-100 recruit in the state called “a freakishly athletic player” by www.hoosierhuddle.com last summer.
