The Raiders lead the series by only 6, but they’ve won the last 8. The last two margins have been 22 points each, the closest since the 28-22 win in 2019. Odds are with Northeast to roll again. QB Jordan Wiggins is 57 yards from 2,000 passing, and he’s second behind Landen Jefferson in rush, but leads with 9 ground TDs. Five Northeast receivers have at least 3 TD catches.
Vidalia, 2-5/0-3, at No. 4 Bleckley County, 7-1/3-1, Thursday, 7 p.m.
It’s been an odd series, led 11-7 by Vidalia but with Bleckley County on a 3-game run, including a 56-15 playoff win in 2020 when Vidalia was ranked 10th by the AJC. The balanced Royals are eyeing their second-best regular-season under alum Von Lassiter (10-0 in 2021, second-round loss). QB Kain Mincey has 1,591 passing yards, and 19 TDs to only 1 pick. Zyion Love cruised past the 1,000-yard mark rushing last week, and has 11 scores. Cody Register leads the D with 7.3 tackles a game.
