Brentwood welcomes Thomas Jefferson in rescheduled game
After an outbreak of influenza and similar illnesses hit Sandersville and postponed Friday’s game, Thomas Jefferson and Brentwood will go at it Tuesday night.
Both teams are 6-3, Brentwood 3-1 and Thomas Jefferson 2-2 in Region 4-AA/A.
Thomas Jefferson has an edge on the ground, getting 274.7 yards to 212.4 for Brentwood, which passes for more than three times as many yards, 112-31.
Brentwood quarterback Baylor Cobb passes for 108.5 yards a game while athlete Tristan Robinson gets 90.4 rushing yards. Quez Collins is the favorite target, with 430 yards receiving and six touchdowns.
Thomas Jefferson has 27 rushing touchdowns, three fewer than Brentwood.
The War Eagles are currently No. 2 in the GIAA AA MaxPreps rankings, and the Jaguars are No. 2 – of four teams - in the small Class A rankings.
