Jones County’s Finney handled in second UFC bout, suffers leg injury

The statement Torrez Finney hoped to make about belonging on this level of UFC?

A statement in the other direction was the result Saturday night when Finney went down by unanimous decision to Jacob Malkoun in UFC 325 in Australia.

Malkoun was in charge from the start en route to cards of 30-27, 30-26, and 30-26, handing Finney his first defeat in 11 tries.

From Yahoosports.com: “Malkoun dominated Finney with his striking in this fight. He hit him early and hit him hard and Finney was mostly a sitting duck after that. Finney, who might have torn his calf in the fight, showed some desperation in the last round with some big swings, but he couldn’t get himself out of the hole.”
