Henley hangs in the hunt at Arnold Palmer
Defending any PGA Tour tournament title is tough, and that’s the case with Russell Henley and the Arnold Palmer Invitational.
Henley is still in the hunt, but needs an epic Sunday – from himself, and an epic collapse – to take the API for a second straight year.
The Maconite is tied for ninth after a 1-under 71 on Saturday, and is seven shots back of leader Daniel Berger.
It was a quite mundane – and odd - third round for Henley. He had a birdie to open the day, and that was it, with 17 straight pars to follow.
Weather interrupted play Saturday, with four players – including Berger – still on the course, on 15 and 16.
Henley tees off at 1:20 p.m. with Xander Schauffele, who is tied for 16th.
