Preseason Maxwell computer ratings and Georgia High School Football Daily polls, and Central Georgia's place in each

The computer has spoken, after digesting information on 463 teams in the state of Georgia.
The computer belongs to the Maxwell Ratings of Loren Maxwell, long connected with the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and Georgia High School Football Daily.
The humans have spoken as well, with the GHSFB Daily’s composite rankings. This year’s outlets: AJC/Daily, ITG Next, Score Atlanta, 680 The Fan, Coach Georgia, and the Maxwell Ratings.
The only consensus preseason No. 1 is Carver-Columbus.
Both are before last week’s smattering of Atlanta-area GHSA games and the first week of GIAA action.
There aren’t too many surprises, especially with the first polls, which – especially with people – tend to rely on last year and tradition.
It’s hard to argue with most of the placements.
Of course, there’ll pretty clearly be movement next week, with an opening week of quality matchups: Peach County at Perry, Bleckley County at West Laurens, Lamar County at Upson-Lee, and Dublin at Jasper County, among others.
The computer will shuffle noticeably in the GIAA as well, after Strong Rock-Westfield and Stratford-St. Anne-Pacelli.
