Georgia set for G-Day game: fan info

The G-Day game is days away, and Georgia announced information regarding seating and admission.

Admission is free, but fans will get a pass upon entering Sanford Stadium directing them to a seating section. With seating temporarily reduced because of construction in the West end zone, the “assigned” seating will help with what’s expected to be a near-capacity crowd.

Gates 2-9 will be open, but Gate 10 – next to the Tate Center – is closed.

Fans are asked to enter the stadium on the side where they’d prefer to sit. Inquiries can be directed to facilitysupport@sports.uga.edu.

Parking is the same as in the past, on campus and on a first-come basis. There are no home athletic events on Saturday. Normal gameday tailgating policies will be in effect.

The Butts-Mehre Heritage Hall will be open from 1-3 p.m., with Sanford gates opening at 1 p.m., 15 minutes before the alumni flag football game.

The Dawg Walk is at 2:50 p.m., between Tate and the Miller Learning Center, and the game starting at 4 p.m.
