Fried fine, but Braves have no offense and pen struggles

UGA product and former Brave Alex Wood kept Atlanta’s offense more in check than Max Fried could do to the Dodgers in L.A.’s 5-1 win.

Fried left after five, after giving up a run on two hits with seven strikeouts and three walks. Five relievers followed, and Sam Freeman gave up two runs in the ninth, all but killing Atlanta’s comeback hopes.

Will the slump change the trade strategy?

Beltre thinking about the Braves?
