Tuesday's Braves Report: Taking care of business; Flowers gets extension; Qs and As and the minor-league update

The eighth was a good inning for Atlanta

 

          The lead, with September approaching, is almost five games for the Braves, who countered Philadelphia’s 5-4 loss to Washington with a 9-5 win over Tampa Bay.

          Atlanta led 5-4 after five, but got control with four in the eighths.

          Ender Inciarte was 4-for-4 with two RBI, Ozzie Albies went 3-for-3 with three runs, and Dansby Swanson 2-for-4.

          On the hill, Julio Teheran went 5.2 innings, with five Ks and one BB, but four runs. Five relievers followed, giving up one run and six hits. Brad Brach got the win to improve to 2-3.
