Peach County's Allen, Northside's Kinsler top GSWA Central Georgia all-state selections
Sergio Allen and Kevin Kinsler are the Central Georgia top honorees in their classes in the Georgia Sports Writers Association All-State team released Tuesday night.
Allen is the 3A defensive player of the year, and Kinsler the 6A coach of the year.
Both earned the same honors last week in The Sports Report’s All-Central Georgia team, Kinsler sharing coach honors with Baldwin’s Jesse Hicks.
The GSWA first and second team included nearly players who made The Sports Report’s All-Central Georgia first and second teams: three in 6A, six in 5A and 4A, seven in 3A, four in AA and one in A.
Warner Robins’ Dylan Fromm repeated as the 5A quarterback, but x took the top offensive honor.
Teammate Cedric Hillsman was a first-team offensive lineman last year and made second team on defense this year.
Dodge County’s Jadin Johnson is a repeat pick on the AA defensive line, as is teammate kicker Peyton Bush.
