Bibb, Houston county public school football teams form all-star game

            The public high school football teams from Bibb County and Houston County will compete in an all-star game after this season, the Bibb County School District announced Friday morning.

            The first Senior All-Star Bowl will be played on Dec. 21 at 1 p.m. at the Ed DeFore Sports Complex.

            Proceeds will go to scholarships for Bibb County students in athletics and fine arts - with some funding coming from community partnerships - with next year’s game being held in Houston County with the same format.

            Tickets will be $10.

            Currently, three Houston County teams will be playing for region championships on Friday night: Warner Robins, Veterans (against each other), and Perry. Westside hosts top-ranked Peach County, and can tie for the region title with the upset.
