Sunday's Daily News 'n Notes: Falcons did what?; weekend review/weekend HS BKB scores;

Sunday's Central Georgia - and of interest to Central Georgia - news and notes, compiled from staff reports, email reports, the web, and social media.
Falcons did what? And how?
Even after a missed PAT, it sure looked like San Francisco was going to hold on and edge Atlanta.
One was playing for a top seed in the conference, the other playing for pride.
Atlanta seemed to score the game-winner on a pass to Austin Hooper, but did get it a play later with two seconds left when Julio Jones barely broke the plan to give Atlanta what went from a 23-22 win to a 29-22 win when the 49ers fumbled the kickoff after a few wild laterals, and Olamide Zaccheaus recovered it in the end zone.
It was an odd game, with 23 points scored through three quarters and 28 in the fourth, 19 from Atlanta.
Matt Ryan was 25 of 39 for 210 yards and two touchdowns, no interceptions and two sacks. Julio Jones caught his first touchdown pass in months, part of a 13-catch, 134-yard, two-touchdown game.
San Francisco went from a 10-7 second-quarter deficit to a 13-10 lead on a Robbie Gould field goal with 5:14 left in the third.
The 49ers upped it with a 2-yard TD pass from Jimmy Garappolo to Kyle Juszczyk after the Falcons fumbled the kickoff and Juszczyk recovered at the 2. Gould missed the PAT
Atlanta got one back on Qadree Ollison’s 1-yard run five minutes later, but Gould was good on a 43-yard field goal with 1:48 left for a 23-17 lead.
Atlanta went 70 yards in 10 plays and 1:46, aided getting 25 on a pass to Jones to get to the 24. Hooper caught a pass in the end zone, but bobbled it while tumbling around, and it was ruled that he failed to maintain enough control.
Ryan threw to Jones, who twisted and just barely crossed the plane, but was initially ruled down at the one. The call was reversed, and Atlanta had the lead.
Ryan took a knee on the conversion to avoid distaster, and the 49ers hopes for a miracle turned out to lead to a Falcon TD.
What a dang tease this team has become
