Braves Report
Once again, the Braves found a way – barely – to be outhit and still win, this time more than doubled up in hits by the Mets but holding for a 2-1 win and series sweep.
Mets pitching kept the Braves’ top three in the order – Ronald Acuna, Ozzie Albies, and Freddie Freeman – to an 0-for-11 afternoon, but Josh Donaldson handled the offense with two solo homers. Adam Duvall had the other hit as the Braves struck out 12 times.
Dallas Keuchel went seven innings with seven strikeouts and three walks, and four hits. Mark Melancon followed Sean Newcomb and got the save after a harrowing ninth that broke the shutout. The Mets stranded two in the ninth.
