The Bulldogs scored three in the fifth to win. Makenna Talcott, Whitley Ward, and Mary Katherine Lawrence each had two hits for GMC, Ward and Lea Jannakos two RBI each. Bella Herring walked none with two strikeouts in the five-inning win.
GMC 9, North Oconee 0
The Bulldogs finished strong, with eight runs in the final three innings, aided by four North Oconee errors. Makenna Talcott and Lea Jannakos had three hits each and teamed for five RBI. Mary Katherine Lawrence and Riley Barsby each had two hits. Jannakos struck out 11 with four walks in six innings.
Marion County 1, Rutland 0; Baconton Charter 4, Rutland 0
Rutland outhit Marion County, but left seven runners on and gave up the game-winner in the sixth. Kinleigh King had half of Rutland’s four hits. Baconton got what it needed in the second, with Amber Summerday accounting for half of Rutland’s four hits. Pitches Bailey Caldwell and Taylor Stewart teamed for six strikeouts and two walks.
Lamar County 11, Eagle’s Landing 0; Lamar County 2, ELCA 0
Northside 15, Valdosta 0
Seven Valdosta errors led to nine unearned runs, the Eagles needing only seven hits. Two hits and five RBI came from Celena Luna, while Ayma Smith, Sierra Franioli, and Anaya McFarlin drove in two runs each. Mallory Gordy struck out four in three innings and 33 pitches.
Tattnall 8, Brookstone 2; Tattnall 11, Brookstone 1
The four-run first was enough for Tattnall, aided by five Brookstone errors. Jaelyn Darley, Courtney Ball, and Kenna Epps had two hits each, Epps with three RBI as well as the complete-game win, striking out six with a walk and four hits. An eight-run second and seven more Brookstone errors led to the easy second-game win. Ball and Epps had two hits, with two-RBI games from Taylor Adams, Lindsey Pal, and Logan Oller. Hailey Daughtry struck out five with a walk for the win.
Thomas County Central 15, Warner Robins 2
Westfield 1, Mount de Sales 0
Westfield had the hits, but couldn’t turn them into a run until the bottom of the ninth when Sadie Hayes drove in the game-winner with an infield single. Sydney Langdon threw all nine for Westfield, needing only 103 pitches to strikeout seven with no walks and two hits. Sadie Hayes and Ellie Williams had a pair of hits each for the Hornets.

VBALL: Limestone 3, Georgia College 2; Lindenwood 3, GC 0
Braves Report
Four Braves hits homer, three solos, and Julio Teheran whiffed eight with a walk in six innings as Atlanta held on for a 5-4 win.
Shane Greene gave up two in the eighth, and Chad Melancon got his 10th save by striking out two in the ninth to hold the Nationals off.
Ozzie Albies homered in the first, Josh Donaldson belted one in the fourth, and Brian McCann and Matt Joyce added bombs in the sixth.
Joyce had two of Atlanta’s six hits, McCann two RBI, as the Braves won their ninth straight overall and 13th in a row at home. Along the way, Atlanta has the best record in the majors over the last 105 games.
