          ACE led 4-1 after two. Lizzy Mitchell had two hits and Brooklyn McGreggor three RBI for the Gryphons to bolster Mary Elizabeth Ballard’s efficient pitching. Aleigha Evans and Selena Linsenbach had two hits each for the Eagles.

          Westfield went from up 2-0 to down 10-2 in two innings. Emma Williams had two hits and two RBI for the Hornets.

          Jordyn Partain threw a six-inning perfect game, striking out 11 and boosted by homers from Emma Carter, Sawyer Stuart, and, well, herself. Stuart, Partain, Henderson Hurdle, and Sarah Hatcher each had two hits, Hatcher with three RBI and Stuart with two.

Spalding 9, Howard 1

          Spalding’s five-run first was enough. Sydnee McElveen had two hits for the Huskies. Howard (4-14, 3-9) hosts West Laurens Thursday at 5 p.m.

Stratford 10, St. Vincent’s 0

          Eight errors leading to eight unearned runs made for an easy 4.5-inning game for the Eagles, who needed just five hits, two coming from Shelby Bandt. Paige Gray fanned nine with a walk in five innings.

Tattnall 15, St. Vincent’s 0

          The Trojans had enough within a few minutes, getting 14 in the first two innings of the three-inning game. Kaitlyn Hallman had three hits and three RBI, Isabelle Pecorilli two hits and three RBI, Caroline Patterson two hits and Grace Hiller three RBI and three runs.

          The Trojans rolled in the Area 2-AAA tournament and qualified for the state tournament for the second straight year. Peach County, 15-8, plays Pike County or Americus-Sumter in the semifinals Wednesday at 5:30 at Jackson.
